A Web Video Marketing Council's report from March 2012 indicates, that 81% of senior marketing executives are turning to video content with brand websites (67%), social media sites (61%), and email marketing (52%) for the most popular avenues of content sharing.
Video Marketing holds the top spot for future plans
According to a Social MediaExaminer's April report, YouTube and other video sites became the top area
where marketers are planning to increase their social media efforts.
76% of survey participants are planning to increase their activity on YouTube, ahead of Facebook (72%), Twitter
(69%), Blogs (68%), Google+ 67% and Linkedin (66%). Video production is being
tapped as a key growth area by younger marketers (77%, aged 20-49) vs. their older counterparts (68% aged over 60).
