Consumers expect video as part of their shopping experience and rely on it when making purchase decisions. A recent report from solutions provider Invodo reveals that 60% of the time consumers choose to watch product videos before purchase.

Here is a summary of the study:
  • 52% of surveyed consumers claimed they were more confident when they watched a video prior to buying a product and were less likely to return it.
  • 66% of consumers watch product videos to have a better understanding of how the product works.
  • 61% of consumers imagine themselves using the product while watching the video.
  • 45% said they would spend more time on a website that has videos.
  • 67% of consumers viewed a product video by clicking through an email.


Video is becoming a standard practice for retailers. They invest in product videos to improve conversion rates and increase engagement. Product videos can be successfully used for various channels: Website, Email campaigns, Video sharing websites, Social media, Mobile and others.
