Online Video Growing Strong In Canada

Marketers in Canada are witnessing the potential and growing popularity of online video. The investments in the platform are on the rise and the MediaCT survey suggests video ad spending has doubled since 2010. It's projected to increase even more in 2012 reaching almost $143 million. 
"Canada Video Study" reveals that :
  • close to two-fifths of web users spent as much or even more time enjoying online video than watching television. 
  • It also highlights the fact that 7% of viewers purchased product online and 5% made a in-store purchase after watching the video ad. 

As marketing companies recognize the online video's potential, eMarketer predicts online video advertising spending to reach almost $374 million in 2016.
