A Study Reveals That Press Releases With Multimedia Can Lift Viewership By 77%

A PR Newswire recent study reveals that adding multimedia to your press releases such as article or blog posts will give a remarkable bump in views.
The majority of press releases today are text only but that is changing as video consumption is increasing. 55% of PR professionals that were polled by PRESSfeed about their content say that they use multimedia with their news content. Most of them use pictures however the study shows that the more multimedia files are used the more views the post can get.
  • Press releases that incorporated Photo + Video saw 48% increase in viewership.
  • Press releases that incorporated Photo+Video+Other Multimedia files saw 77% increase in viewership.
Those, who aren’t using multimedia files listed these reasons:

  • Don’t have skills
  • Don’t have the time
  • Don’t have the budget
It isn’t enough just to have visual assets in your articles. They have to tell the story, be engaging and then they will be shared and increase viewerships rates.
