5 Tips For Shooting Video

Here are 5 Tips for shooting video from learning sessions at International Association of Business Communicators World Conference in Chicago.
  • Audio is key. Get within 4 feet of the person you are talking to. Audio in Video is key and even if video is professionally shot, bad audio will send it to the unprofessional side.
  • Show movement. People pay more attention if something is moving. Change up your scenes every 5-8 seconds to make it more interesting.
  • Video length. No more than 90 sec. Attention spans aren’t that long. 3-5 minutes video is too long for corporate.
  • Music. Good music can add emotional overtone.
  • Make it personal. Hearing a story from a person is going to be a lot more compelling that a load of jargon.
