- Writing a great script requires hard work but it pays off if you do it right. Start by analyzing your target audience to be able to tailor the message to them.
- Use short sentences, simple language and avoid industry jargon. Based on research 30-60s is the most effective video length. Once you get above that you better have some great content, or you’ll start losing viewers fast.
- Open with fire. The first 3 seconds are crucial for a successful video. If you grab attention in the first frame with a visual surprise, you stand a better chance of holding the viewer.
- Start with a great pitch and quickly convey the core message behind your products or services. Relate to viewers by providing personal, engaging, unique and useful information.
- Finally, end your script with a call to action – a next step the viewer can take to get started.
